  13.     I have a NetComm Roadster 288 modem.

  15.     I can not get it to hold a connection for more than
  16.     a few minutes without dropping the connection (NO CARRIER).

  18.     I've had my phone lines checked, and have no other phones on
  19.     the line.

  21.     A friends Spirit Viper modem works perfectly on my system.

  23.     I have sent the modem back under warranty, but it was returned
  24.     with no problems found.

  26.     Anyone able to help?

  28.     I've recently heard things to suggest that this is a very poor
  29.     modem, can anyone confirm this?
